Sarah Redgwick Born in Wakefield, Sarah Redgwick graduated with first class honours
from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and completed her studies
in the postgraduate Opera course. The winner of the GSMD Gold Medal
for singers, she was a Samling Foundation Scholar, and has received
awards from The Countess of Munster Trust, the Madeleine Finden Trust,
the Sybil Tutton Trust and the Wingate Foundation.
Since graduating, Sarah Redgwick’s engagements have included Marzelline Fidelio (Opera Holland Park, Oxford Philomusica, Scottish Opera), FrasquitaCarmen and ZerlinaDon Giovanni (Mid Wales Opera), Donna Elvira in Gazzaniga’s Don Giovanni (Bampton Classical Opera), SidonieArmide (Buxton Festival), AtalantaXerxes (British Youth Opera), Despina Così fan tutte (Clonter Opera), Zerlina Don Giovanni, SusannaLe nozze di Figaro ,Berta Il barbiere di Siviglia and BrigittaIolanta (Opera Holland Park), MimìLa bohème (Scottish Opera On Tour), ClorindaLa cenerentola (Welsh National Opera), Adèle Die Fledermaus and ActorA Night at the Chinese Opera (Scottish Opera) the Mahagonny Songspiel (BBC Kurt Weill Festival at the Barbican), Second PlaymateDer Zwerg (Opera North) and Essential Scottish Opera on tour.
Sarah Redgwick appears regularly in concert, her performances including Classics for Christmas for Raymond Gubbay at the Barbican, the J. S. Bach Magnificat and the world première of Rutti’s Stabat Mater at St John’s, Smith Square, The Apostles at Eton College, Messiah with the Oxford Philomusica and the Really Big Chorus at the Royal Albert Hall, London, the Nelson Mass in Portsmouth Cathedral, the Mozart Mass in C Minor in Wells Cathedral, the Mozart Requiem and Orff Carmina Burana for Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir and Poulenc Gloria at the Farnham Maltings.
Her current engagements include MarzellineFidelio for Opera Holland Park, GiannettaL’elisir d’amore,Pousette Manon and Violetta La traviata for Scottish Opera and Violetta La traviata for Opéra de Baugé.
