Kathryn Hannah

Kathryn Hannah grew up in Kent and graduated with BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Newcastle University. She then began her formal vocal training, studying privately with Jane Highfield; she receives vocal coaching from Phillip Thomas.
She has toured with New Devon Opera as Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and as the title role in Carmen with Lakeland Opera. She has recently sung as chorus for Scottish Opera’s productions of Der Rosenkavalier, Madama Butterfly and Lucia Di Lammermoor.
In Summer 2005 Kathryn sang the role of Giannetta in L’Elisir D’Amore for Opera Holland Park and in their 2004 season she sang Laura in Luisa Miller. Other roles include Second Lady in Magic Flute for Windsor&Eton Opera, Second Boy in Magic Flute for Kentish Opera, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro for Beaufort Opera, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro for Stanley Hall Opera, The High Priestess in Aida, Kate Pinkerton in Madam Butterfly for Sevenoaks Opera and Shepherdess in Amahl & The Night Visitors for Camerata Opera. She was part of the Opera Holland Park chorus for Le Nozze di Figaro in 2004 and for Fidelio, Tosca and L’Arlesiana in 2003. Oratorio work includes soloist for Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.
Kathryn has performed in numerous opera galas for Abbey Opera, Cameo Opera, Opera Holland Park and Swan Hellenic Cruises, as well as at many charity events.
Future plans for 2008 include Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) and  Giovanna/Maddalena (Rigoletto) touring with Pavilion Opera and the Title Role in La Cenerentola for TellTale Opera. Later in the year she returns to Scotland to be part of Scottish Opera’s new production of La Traviata.
